How the MDCAT aggregate is calculated
For MBBS and BDS admission in Pakistan, the PMDC merit aggregate combines three results with fixed weights: your Matriculation (SSC) result counts for 10%, your FSc / Intermediate (HSSC) result for 40%, and your MDCAT score for the remaining 50%. Because MDCAT is worth half of your entire aggregate, it is by far the most decisive result — a strong MDCAT can lift a merit position far more than the same improvement in Matric or FSc.
To be eligible at all, you need a minimum of 120 out of 200 (60%) in the MDCAT. Above that, every mark matters for your position on the merit list.
