What each MDCAT paper covers
The MDCAT is a 200-MCQ paper sat in 3.5 hours with no negative marking. The subject split is fixed by PMDC:
| Subject | Weight | What it tests |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | 68 MCQs | Cell biology, genetics, physiology, evolution — the largest section of the paper. |
| Chemistry | 54 MCQs | Physical, organic, biochemistry and industrial chemistry. |
| Physics | 54 MCQs | Mechanics, waves, electromagnetism and modern physics. |
| English | 18 MCQs | Vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. |
| Logical Reasoning | 6 MCQs | Sequences, analogies and pattern recognition. |
Why MDCAT past papers are the highest-yield prep
A large share of MDCAT MCQs repeat — sometimes word for word, often lightly reworded — from earlier years. Working through the full 2008–2025 archive teaches you the exact phrasing, difficulty and traps the examiners favour, so nothing on paper day feels unfamiliar.
Calibre goes further than a photocopied bundle: every past-paper MCQ is tagged to its PMDC unit and learning outcome, so you can drill by weak topic, not just by year. Wrong answers queue automatically in the Mistake Tracker for spaced re-drilling, and your live /200 score predictor updates after every session — so you always know where you stand before exam day.
